Drawers...

So, I stumbled across many blogs and they were all about organizing... My kitchen cabinets and drawers were A MESS!! So, since we were stuck home with the stomach bug this week, I used the down time for some purging and organizing:

We actually took our lazy susan's out, because stuff kept falling behind. That was tough- It was literally like getting a round peg out of a small square hole. My husband had to saw them in half!

More birthday ideas...

I came across this party on Cakies blog. How perfect for Caileigh's party!!!!!!! I was thinking at first that I would make a ton of different quiches, but I made some for a baby shower and they were time intensive and expensive to make. Plus, not everyone is a quiche fan.... I am going to do a cereal bar for the kids and a pancake bar with different syrups for everyone!!!! April can't come soon enough :)

Gotta try this... {Cake Batter Bark}

I love cake batter-- I love it in ice cream (ColdStone makes the best) and I like it in my mixing bowl. I would even dare to say that I love cake batter better than cake... I found this: Cake Batter Bark... I will be trying this ASAP!!

Food Holidays...

I read somewhere in a blog today that I missed "National Chocolate Cake Day". This totally got me wondering how many other food holidays there were! I googled and found this : American Food Holidays

Although I don't think I will be observing all of these days, I'm looking forward to the following days in February:
2/20- National Cherry Pie Day
2/23- National Banana Bread Day & Dog Biscuit Appreciation Day (yea for Kennedy and Collins!)

And then in March:
3/1- National Peanut Butter Day!
Stay tuned as I celebrate these holidays :)

Gotta try this... {Pie Cupcakes}

TOMKAT has posted an awesome idea... One of the problems with living in "blogland" is that you come across awesome ideas usually 10 times per day per hour. In order to keep myself sane, I am just going to keep a "gotta try this" list on my blog and get to them when I can... Hopefully, it's sooner than later that I can try this delicious looking idea.... Happy Valentines Day!

I decided that I was going to channel my inner photographer and take some great pictures of Caileigh and make some Valentines Day cards for the grandparents... She wasn't loving being my model and I got some less than stellar shots:

"Mom, enough with the pictures!"

We moved on to painting some Valentines:

I threw in the towel and decided to make this:

I used my Cricut and the permanent vinyl from Expression

I also made these for Caileigh's playdate:

Sugar cookies with icing and sprinkles. I used cardstock I had and added some buttons tied with twine from The Twinery

Sorry about the lack of posts lately, I have been so busy helping plan a baby shower and redoing our bathroom..  I'll post soon about those!
