Graduation BBQ... Planning!

We are hosting my sister's high school graduation party and we are going with an old fashioned BBQ theme!

Here's some of my inspiration!!

Hostess with the Mostess posted this wonderful BBQ awhile ago & it totally got my brain going! I love the corn on the cob with the corn chips. She also had some wonderful gourmet hot dog recipes for a make your own hot dog bar! I'm loving the idea of a hot dog cart for the table:
I'm thinking of writing the "hot dog recipes" on brown kraft paper...Like this from Host It Notes

I'm using some of these beautiful images from Country Living to inspire my table designs...

And last (but certainly not least!)- DESSERT! Thinking some delicious cookies and pies... displayed nicely like this!

More birthday ideas...

I came across this party on Cakies blog. How perfect for Caileigh's party!!!!!!! I was thinking at first that I would make a ton of different quiches, but I made some for a baby shower and they were time intensive and expensive to make. Plus, not everyone is a quiche fan.... I am going to do a cereal bar for the kids and a pancake bar with different syrups for everyone!!!! April can't come soon enough :)

More inspiration, thanks to Pottery Barn Kids!

Pottery Barn Kids has some lovely Easter ideas on their newest catalog...

I just ordered the Cricut Easter Cartridge with hopes of making something {{almost}} as cute for Caileigh's party!!

Our Bedroom

Our bedroom is the only room in the house that we haven't made "ours". Right now it's just a room where we sleep. Even the curtains that are in there are the ones that were there when we moved in. One issue that we are having is that the room is HUGE and we are overwhelmed by it, but I am slowly finding ideas and inspiration.

I am LOVING this color:
Blue Haze by Pottery Barn

So pretty with black and white photos!

Loving these curtains from Ballard Designs. I am hoping my mom can help me recreate them so I don't have to spend $50 a panel. I am not a huge fan of the fringe- I'd like to add a piece of crisp white cotton on the bottom!!

I also want to create a sitting area, but I am still trying to find ideas for that!!

Rylee's "Utter"ly Amazing Party

My friend Keri just threw an barnyard party for her daughter, Rylee. Keri's attention to detail was impeccable.

Keri found a company that had a barnyard theme mini bouncer!

This was my favorite part! Keri got risers that had wagon wheels on each side (I wish I took more pics!) off of Ebay. There were a ton of items with adorable custom signs. Each child got "money" and could buy their party favors which they put in to...

...metal buckets with a bandana liner. Keri embroidered the liners with each kids name. This totally put me over the edge with wanting my own machine!

All of the drinks were served from the lemonade stand...

in adorable mason jars

Dessert was cake, cupcakes, pies and cookies- OH MY!

Here's my little one enjoying her cupcake!!

Great job, Keri!!
