Party Shirt!

Using the iron-on vinyl from Expression Vinyl and my Cricut, I made Caileigh this shirt for her second birthday! I got the shirt for $1 at Wal-mart and the vinyl was pretty inexpensive (2.49 per color- and I have a ton left over). Sure beats the super-expensive shirts that I saw on Chasing Fireflies! If I thought she would wear it more than once, I might be tempted to buy the CF shirt, but Easter is only once a year!

This was $38 (yes, thirty-eight!!) on Chasing Fireflies:

My Shirt:

Total Cost:
Shirt- $1.00 (if it's hot out, I plan on cutting the sleeves)
Vinyl- $4.98 total
Ribbon- Free ( I had it in my stash)

GRAND TOTAL: $5.98

Looking ahead...

Now that Christmas and all the (fun!) craziness has passed, I'm looking forward to gathering ideas for Caileigh's 2nd birthday. I know some people roll their eyes (including my husband!), but I love putting in a lot of planning time to make it perfect. Since Caileigh's birthday falls the day after Easter, I'm planning an Easter themed party the day before Easter Sunday!

Here are some pictures I've found online to help inspire me!

Caileigh's Candy land

So, we had a beautiful day, filled with family and friends! Caileigh even took a second nap-  the party tuckered her out!

Gumdrop Wreath- I got the idea from this wonderful blog

Candy station with handmade garland

Each table had a Candyland character centerpiece- Here is Lord Licorice,
Mr. Mint!

I took an idea from HowDoesShe.Com and made a display of the pictures I take of Caileigh on the 25th of each month. I attached each picture to a modpodged 2 x 4 and displayed it on the mantle:

Here is the dessert table: I used the pieces from a giant Candyland game I found on Ebay to identify the different flavors of cupcakes:

Getting excited!!!!

Caileigh's 1st Birthday Party is coming up this weekend. I used a friend's computer who has Photoshop (absolutely putting THAT on my Wishlist!) to come up with some pictures for a thank you card. I was going to use pictures from her party, but she has already received some gifts, and I want to get them out ASAP because, lately, time is of the essence!
